Danny wants to be the greatest singer to ever live. He temporarily left that dream behind and signed up for the Air Force in 1939 after family conflict. During World War II, he rose to the rank of major flying bombing runs in Southern Italy. After the war, he worked for the US government until 1947. He moved to New York City in 1947 and took a chance at following his dream. In April of 1948, he's just been booked by Mickey Riley to sing shows over the summer at a mid-tier Manhattan night club.
